My daughter is looking for a Carolina bar in Brooklyn where she can watch the Heels. There are places in Manhattan but it is a long trip home after a 9:00pm game.

Anyone know of anywhere in the Fort Greene, Park Slope, Prospect Heights area?

Many thanks.

Get Mamasita on this...though for me it was bad luck this watching the Heels above the Mason Dixon
i live in williamsburg, with the neighborhoods you mention not far from me. there is a place called mulholland's on grand and havermeyer, nice place but i haven't watched games there yet. i'd call ahead to see if they're showing. i'd also meet her sometime. i don't venture out into other brooklyn hoods too much for sports, i watch games at home. you won't find "carolina bars" aside from brother jimmy's and they consider themselves to be ACC. she'd have to take the G train from the hoods you mention to get to mulholland's and to be honest you'd almost be better off going into the city. or take a car, it's a $12-15 ride.

GO HEELS!!!
Thanks, Mamasita. I'll pass the info on to her. There is a local bar near her (Fulton St) where she watches games (she and roommates gave up their cable/internet to save money). She does meet up with folks at Brother Jimmy's but hates the late night ride home after 9:00pm games.

is the place on fulton's a jamaican run place called love's? when i lived in clinton hill there was a divey place where they still smoked ciggies and they always watched basketball, and served up free grub all the time. i loved it and i think it's still there!
