I have pulled for Duke more than 24 years now. Of all of those teams from then until now there has never been a player that aggravated me. Until now. Josh is really an embarrassment to me. His constant whining is ridiculous. After EVERY call against him is his patented scream of "thats BS!" His lackluster paint prescence even makes him less appealing. I mean get into the damn lane and man up son, you're no PG. I'm growing tired of the stat stuffer comments as well. Yea , so big effing deal he records a few numbers in every category. 12 ppg? Pitiful. If he makes a mistake he immediately fires off a yell at the other players. Am I the only Duke fan who views this kid as such? I personally say he better go pro now cause there's a young man on the way who is NOT scared to take it to the rack named Singler and I honestly see him shoving Josh right to the ol pine. God, send us PP.
I agree. Whats worse is he tries to make up for his lack of ability with elbows and physical play. Really sad, actually.
He missed his chance to go pro.
missed his chance to go pro? You're kidding right? He's still a lottery lock, whether it's this year or next..

What are you on drugs? It is so rare to see McRob be aggressive that I have quit looking for it. He is the biggest kitty cat I have ever seen for someone with his size.
His monstrous dunk last night is the way he should play every single play. Instead, he piddles around on the perimeter and cries when he turns the ball over. He is not my favorite player.
In person he seems like the most physical player on the floor besides Paulus.
I think he set a record for elbows to the face in the UNC game.
But in the end, I agree with you - he seems to be getting worse and should be a lot better.
This year has exposed his weaknesses and his stock has definitely dropped from what it was at the end of last season. But still his weaknesses aren't mainly his skills so he'll probably get drafted late lottery and can be a good pro as long as he's allowed to be a support player to a 'star or 2' on whatever team his on.
Josh certainly has a great deal of potential that either he won't expose for some unknown reason or has not been taught by the coaching staff.  What I see in him is a lack of confidence.  Every time a play goes bad, he's spending more time being frustrated than getting back into the game then the snow ball effect takes place. He lacks leadership skills but I don't fully blame him for that. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Wojo does not need to be coaching our big guys.
While I don't think the ship has sailed yet, he has struggled in being the focal point. And barton, sorry to be the second guy to bag on your post, but to call McRoberts play this year physical is mindboggling. That's been one of his biggest weaknesses.
All that said I was encouraged by his play down the stretch last night. He appeared to think less and play more. Certainly he was a lot more aggressive and explosive. If he can work on continuing that trend going forward I think we will like the results.
Josh has made many Duke fans happy by leaving Durham. That's a sad commentary on Duke hoops.
There are several UNC posters that are on thin ice - you are one of them. Consider this a warning.
For future reference, what's wrong or inflammatory about what H8 said?
My guess is that there are a good number of duke fans who'd agree with it.
No one will ever mistake me for a Josh McRoberts fan, but there's simply no question that he was, overall, an asset to your team and I have little doubt duke will sorely miss his defense, rebounding and passing next season.
I think team chemistry will be better without him. There are times when he will be missed I'm sure, but I bet there is not as much bad attitude and whining on next years team. When Paulus throws the ball away, I bet he doesn't go and scream at the player who missed the pass evey time. I know K wants the upper classmen to be leaders and all, but all the yelling and crying Josh did was uncalled for in most cases. Granted, there is a time for it, but Josh did it every game. He didn't take responsibility for the times he screwed up, he always seemed to look for someone to yell at. If that is absent, team chemistry will be better IMO.
I guess I'm just a call it like I see it guy. I know alot of Duke fans like Josh. I'm not one of'em. I really think I could be a Singler fan though.
