Dang. We might not win the ACC championship, but we might finish first in the Big East.
Wow! I had forgotten the Irish are coming to town. Gotta try and make that one, I saw them play IU in Bloomington as a kid.
the nd game had been penciled in for a couple of years on oct. 18th, which is my birthday. i guess i''ll see the irish take an ass whuppin' on the 11th instead.

go heels
Glad I got season tickets for the 1st time this year.

You know kidC will be double-y geeked up for that ND game.

@ Rutgers on Sept. 11th ... hrmmmmm ...
Don't sleep on McNeese State...
^ Dude, the past 7-8 years have taught us--never sleep on anybody!

Except NCState, of course. We can sleep on them. Wink
^ I would like to take exception to that, but until we put a D1 QB on the field my mouth will remain shut.

Conundrum for me is the Notre Dame game. Who to pull for???????? A 0-0 tie?
Pretty darn favorable sched for y'all actually. Of the Atlantic Div foes, only Md looks to be potentially a real challenge this year (reserving judgement on us, although 31-27 last year despite our lacking a D1 QB suggests maybe you shouldn't 'sleep on us' either). BC seems likely to fall hard. You miss Clem, FSU, and Wake. Smart money would probably put them in 1-3 in our division. It would be surprising if the Irish were as putrid as they have been in recent years, but then it's been surprising in those recent years. Overall, it will be hard to blame the schedule if you don't make a bowl this year.

not much in cfb would be nicer than to see the Irish suffer two 30 pt beatdowns from the real USC and the real Carolina. Fat boy's apologists can't blame Ty much longer. If we have a runner with a pulse and at least one hand, that should be good for 21 pts.
My old man got my alumni mail and has ordered season tickets for football for a while.

He tried bball for a while but my folks are to old to climb the stairs in the Smith Center.

However, in Kenan, we are on the upper end of the new locker room space, in the nice seats, just below the vip section.

I'll post the seat numbers later and I'd love to hang out with you boarders... there's a great group of folks all around us that we've got to know well over the years.
T-minus 52 days and counting ... bttt
I may end up going to the ECU/VPI game on 8/30, since it is here in town (why it is at Noon I have no idea). I need to dig up the McNeese St. game time to make sure I can at least listen on the radio.

Right about now is when the lack of an ACC Network begins to irk me. The Big Ten Network was awesome last season -- games like UNC/McNeese State would be shown (in HD, no less) on such a channel.
6pm................
Picked up my season tickets ... lower level.
I look forward to UNC knocking off the Fightin' Irish this year.

Check ESPN360.com GT's opening game vs Jacksonville St is being broadcast on the internet, you may find your game is too.
Pops got his tickets in a few days ago.

Lower Level, section 103 or something. I think he said 35 yd line about 6 rows deep.

Some of you may know HeelBritt from the IC Boards.

I agree the BT Network was awesome, especially their first live game on September 1st. The ACC NEEEEEEEDS a network so games like the UNC/McSt. game can be seen.
I've seen no indication it is on espn360 but I have watched games on that and there is zero comparison between streaming online and watching on my TV (esp. in HD). I know everyone knows that, just venting about the ACC's lack of initiative on this.

UVa improving with Rout of UMd and convincing win over sliding ECU... that pesky streak still hovers.

BC, GaT, UMd all figure to be pretty even games. We should be better than both our rivals, but they remain Rivalry games...like that we have State @ home and can undoubtedly fill over half of WWS.

3-3 would still make for 8-4... anything better will be super-sweet. 3 Road/ 3 home and a well-place bye week make a better finish certainly an achieveable outlook.[/i]
at this point, 8-4 would be a bit of a disappointment.

I loves me some Butch.

howzabout now?
Really one stinker on the schedule, the State game.

Other than that, a nice season. Wish we beat ND by more, esp. as bas as they've been lately, but c'est la vie.

8-4, with a shot at 9 wins ain't bad.
excellent progress, I would say!
Hard to believe that after the decade of football we have suffered we are somehow so spoiled as to be disappointed in 8-4 ... and I am holding myself responsible for that misguided emotional reaction.

It's been a few years in the wilderness but once again, we have the best QB in the ACC. We'll see what that nets us next year.
