The other day on the lake I spotted a snake on a tree limb. It was a light orange like a corn snake but it was solid orange. no markings no stripes no nothing but light orange. Anyone know what kind of snake that was?
I was going to say Corn. I have no idea. How big was it?
It was approximately 3 feet long but very thin like a black snake.
Did it look like this?
this is a carolina water snake and is found in eastern north carolina near the outer banks area.
how about a reddish pigmy rattlesnake?

Na,  I know it wasn't poisonous by looking at it.  It had a very small head and it was long and very thin.  It looked a lot like a green snake only it was a light orange.
Looked somewhat like this
or this
not this

This time of year, I'm guessing juvenile northern water snake. The only thing is, it wouldn't normally be found in a tree.
If my image works, here's one in a tree, image that.
Damn, I wonder what I'm doing wrong here?
