Happy Fathers's Day! You are greatly appreciated even when you want to pull your hair out and run to the hills to live off the land and never see another human. Have a good one!
Thanks Mom!
Thanks!
My sons are my greatest treasure. Thanks Mama.
Thanks Mama. It was a bit of a rough time on Dad's day for me. We came home from Emerald Isle early to celebrate only to find my dad still having problems from his recent procedure. He's had a tumour removed from his bladder and there were some problems from it. Father's day has been put off for a while until he is better. He is home and it looks like he is getting better each day so we should be able to celebrate it soon.
Other than the monsoons up here, it was a great father's day at the Temple of Wojo.
El Duke....I hope he's doing better as I type this. Was it a wound infection? If so those can be remedied with time and of course meds. When PapaD spent 5 hours in surgery for prostate cancer he was discharged in less than 72 hours due to the infection rate. Talk about being a caged lion....
As a RN in the operating room I know things don't turn out perfect but generally patients recover and continue to terrorize their family. Seriously...J/K. PM me if you want. If your dad is getting better that's a good sign.

Father's Day is tough on PapaD and me because we no longer have them here. My dad always wanted a mountain home but couldn't afford it. Here I am with a beauty and it breaks my heart he isn't here to enjoy it. PapaD found a life insurance policy(other than the known ones) from his father that nobody knew he had. He kept telling us to keep looking for a log cabin/home. Who'd a thunk he had something up his sleeve? Hold your dad close and tell him you love him.
No matter how macho they are they like to here that.

Funny thing my dad said after the neuro docs told him he had less than 6 months to live: "Well....I quit smoking last year and a hell of a lot of good it did me." A dad will do crazy things to push and prod their family away from despair. I LMAO! ftr....I'm rambling as this time of the year kind of gets me. Take your dad fishing when he's recovered his strength.
Looks like things will be OK with my dad mama. He's got some recovering to do, but he's on his way. we finally had a chance to have a good father's day yesterday. thanks for asking
El, glad to hear your dad is doing well. My pops is 88 years old and in somewhat failing health. I know how difficult it is to face losing a parent. God Bless.

Great news El! My dad is 88 and still kicking. This year was special for me as my son enjoyed his first father's day; yes that makes me a granddad. Makes me dizzy to think about it.
