Is it just me or do they REALLY need to get rid of Lawson........can the woman be any more snooze inducing?

I assume Doris Burke has no purpose in life now that Coach G has been eliminated from the tournament, and that's why we don't see her on ESPN.

^I was stunned but somewhat impressed when Nancy Lieberman apologized on the air last night for basically calling Latta a drama queen when she got hurt in the Final 4 last year (an injury that turned out to be very serious and required surgery).

Doris must be sad to see us advance ... I didn't have any problems with her belief that Dook was the best team in the country, at the time, I think that was correct, but I can't figure out why Burke seems to genuinely loathe Ivory Latta and, to a lesser extent, our coach.

UNC v. Tennessee

classic matchup and border war. never had anything against Tsee or Pat; should be a great game. Congrats Ladies!!!

Unfortunately, the Vols have been playing out of their minds in the tourney (though they've also gotten some breaks on upsets in their bracket).

One thing that really worries me about Tennessee is the fact that we've beaten them twice in the past year or so. We won't be able to sneak up on them or have them overlook us as a nontraditional power because those losses will be fresh on their minds. Meanwhile, our ladies may be thinking to themselves, "Oh, we've just beaten Tennessee a couple of times recently."

If we're going to win this game, we're going to play a full 40 minutes.

JD - if they listen to the national media, I don't think complacency will be an issue. All they can talk about is how Tennessee is going to beat us and Candace Parker is the greatest player in the history of womankind.

For all the talk about a UNC Media conspiracy, it's safe to say ESPN HATES UNC Women's basketball.

I got a kick out of this from the Raleigh News and Observer this morning

"Larkins was stellar all night -- and after spending the road trip with Latta, she needed to be. The senior point guard harangued Larkins every chance she got.

"[She said], 'E, don't pass up the ball, you've got one-on-one coverage, you need to take them off the dribble.' I had enough of it all week," Larkins said. "So I figured, why not go out and do it? What will it hurt?""
