This is probably a topic best saved for the slower times of the year, but I'm so overjoyed that our boys are in the FF, I thought I'd keep the emotions running high.

My personal Top 5
5) 1991 UNLV going down one year after they waxed the floor with Duke in the championship game.
4) Jeff Capel hitting that half court three to send the game against UNC into overtime at Cameron in 95'...even though we lost the game.
3) After hearing the crowd chant "Overrated," Jason Williams puts the entire team on his back and sent Maryland into overtime at College Park with a bombardment of 3s in the final 59 seconds of the game.
2) Hill to Laettner, fake right, turn left, shoot, DUKE BEATS UK!
1) UNC/Duke, Wojo at center court hugging Coach K in his last home game after just coming back to beat Carter, Jamison and Cota. (hey, I'm not called Wojo Cult for nothing!)
Couldn't find a pic but one has to be that female duke fan with the body paint standing by her TV.
1) Laettner's shot in 1992 against Kensucky in the tourney. I had just started to try and accept the fact that Duke was going to be knocked out the tournament. I was watching the game with my Dad and when he hit that shot I was so excited that some how I ended up carrying my Dad around the room.

2) Duke's defeat of "the greatest team of all time", UNLV in 1991. Duke lost by 30 to them in the final four in 1990, and everyone knew it was going to be the same result. Duke played the best game possible starting with Hill's dunk at the start of the game.

3) Duke being up on UNC at half time by a score of 7 to 0, 1979. I was nine years old and I remember Mike Gminski having a break-away dunk near the end of the first half. 79Devil told me he was at that game, and legend has it the phrase, "air ball" was started by the Cameron Crazies then. (79Devil told me he didn't recall that...)

4) I always felt the 1986 team was special, and their trip to the championship game that year was very special. It broke my heart when they lost that game to Louisville. I hoped I would get to see Duke win a national championship in my lifetime, but I was afraid I wouldn't.

5) Carlos Boozer breaking his foot in 2001. I remember when he went out injured and hoping it wasn't bad and then thinking the season was over when I heard it was broken.
I could be wrong, but I believe it was in the game against Maryland near the end of the regular season. We lost that game. But of course went on to win the ACC tourney, and then defeat Maryland in the final four that year, and then marched over Arizona for the national championship.
If Carlos hadn't broken his foot, I don't believe Casey Saunders would have stepped up to be a really good back-up as center. And I think that made the championship possible.

There are many others, particularly during the 1995 season where Duke lost so many close games, but for now those are probably my top five.

This was one of coach K's finer coaching jobs. Duke lost Boozer until the Final Four (he only got back by then thanks to Duke doctors) and after losing to Maryland, they still had to travel to Chapel Hill to face Carolina for a chance to tie for the Regular season title and top seed in the ACC tourney. Duke changed their whole game. K took Nate James out of the starting lineup and inserted Duhon and Sanders. We became a much faster team, with plenty of shooters. They trounced UNC twice in a week and went on to capture the ACC and NCAA titles.

WC's #!: I was there. Who could not love the #2 and of course the gone in 60 seconds against Maryland. Truth be told I was rooting for the Terps when they came back in the ncaa tourny this year. Stolen ball on several inbounds? Twas something to see. It reminded me of aforementioned Devil/Terp game but did not end nicely for our Terp ACC brethren.

Yeah, guess what? I bought into the hype this year and picked the Terps to go to the FF. If only I would have picked MSU, I'd be killing in my pool!
