Sorry about not getting on the game thread.  The game started without me on it, I didn't want to mess with karma.  I did all I could mojo wise and it wasn't enough.
First off, all the credit in the world to Georgetown and Coach Thompson.  They played hard and deserved to win.  They beat us and we played well.  He managed the foul trouble well just like Coach Williams got him into foul trouble well.
No
Chicken® unfortuantley. Â
Dems' de rules as my wife says.
Lynch Biscuit:  The entire team.  They scrapped and fought.  I am sure we could all find something negative to say about any man that touched the floor tonight, but I say no.  They left it all on the court.  We got beat by a great team.  Shake their hands and say good game.
I am very dissappointed as I always am in every last game excpet three in my lifetime.  However, I love this team as I always will and I enjoyed this season.
Great season Heels!
GET WELL JASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Â

DSH, well said.
Lynch Biscuit: Team. For such a young team, they did well. Felt like we were on a roller coaster for most of the year but that's youth for you. Thanks for the ride.
I'm already looking forward to next year.
GO HEELS!!!
GET WELL JASON!
Hansbrough gets bird. The kid is ALL CAROLINA!
Terry gets some biscuits. He played a great game considering.
Folks, like most of you, I'm not in a humorous mood. But just remember; Most players, coaches, and fans would give their eye teeth to get where we do on such a consistent basis.
I felt like this team had what it took to win it all. And they did. The younguns fell just a little short. I'll treat to Chick-Filet. But in the morning.

I still look around here. Don't post much. Here and there in TS
DEON THOMPSON
Alex deserves biscuits
koko,
You are one of the Seven Titans of the Ancient World. (uncbasketball.com)
You are needed here.
Deon really stepped up huge for us tonight. He kept us above water for a good bit of the game, but he just didn't have the experience to match up with Hibbert down the stretch.
I was also really impressed with Brandan's free-throw shooting. I'm not sure what the actual numbers were, but he either made all of them or only missed one. Two of them were in the last stretch of the game where we really needed some points. Obviously it wasn't enough to get the job done, but that was promising.
Well said, DSH.
Special thanks to Wes and Reyshawn.
JD, Dion was on the bench for much of the last eight minutes IIRC.
I'm really confused about my feelings towards Roy this year. Honestly, he's a great coach, and I will never doubt that, but I'm curious if it's a matter of execution by the players, or draw-up by Williams. Sometimes, this team looked so clueless - like they had never been in a close game before. Ut Oh! The other team is getting close...let's change our offense to a inaccurate long-range bombardement.

BTW...Deon and Ginyard both had great games again. Why couldn't Terry get it together all year like the last 4 or 5 games? Is it the strep infection?
Okay, I've cooled down enough now to post about the game. I can't be too sad given how far we went this year, especially when we're playing with some awfully young kids. It was overall a great season, and I think chicken is due all around.
Regarding the G'town game, the way it went down was obviously extremely frustrating for us all. To have a ten point lead evaporate, mostly because of poor shot selection (too many 3's jacked up early in the shot clock), just sucks. It would almost feel better to get beat soundly by 20 points than to lose like that. Props to Georgetown for taking advantage though. They have a very good team and we failed to stop them when we had to.
I say, "learn from it", and let's go get 'em next year!
Chicken to the Gt crowd for affecting the outcome so dramatically.
I agree accball1, the referees were obviously affected by the raucous crowd. Like Ive seen said before, if it is a foul in the first 39 minutes, its a foul in the last one. Right? The spectacle at the end of the 1st half was some of mose inept officiating I can ever recall seeing.
