Mrs T handles our bills and with all the long distance and phone companies and wireless modems etc over the years it is, well, complicated. Once upon a time we had service with prolly everyone out there. Right now we have cell phones w/ AT&T and land lines with Verizon FiOS.
Well it seems we get a bill from Sprint every month. It has no telephone number on it. It's for about $5. Mrs T has been dutifully paying it, but she got curious: what's this for? It just says "long distance service" and includes a monthly fee. We have no idea what it is for. We can't check the bill on line since you need a telephone number to do that.
Anyone have a clue as to what this might be?
I've had Sprint for years and I can say "not at all." I'm surprised it took you guys this long to question this. Sort of sounds like you guys have a latent Sprint phone line that was never cancelled.
I've never had a problem working things out with them. Just call 'em up and fix the problem.

Yeah, it's strange that they could come up with a way to bill us for a "latent" line that doesn't exist.

Have worked in the cell industry in the past I agree with Ghost: call up Sprint and get that squared away.
Oh and I thought all you tree-huggin' librul hippy types used pre-paid Tracfone Burners to throw the government off your track.

Just be happy it has only been $5. Some of those billing systems have "hiccups" which can generate some interesting bill$ sometimes...
I won't even talk about what I saw in my Nextel days from their billing systems..yikes...
Ten, I have land line with ATT but the relay service is thru Sprint so when I make a long-distance call it goes thru the Sprint system instead while local and toll-free run as ATT. Perhaps Verizon has some similar arrangement? No matter what, you can call Sprint and find out what this charge is for. Their customer service 800 number is on the Sprint web site.
Were you asking me that, don? Or were you asking Ten?
