I feel the same way about the play of CJ Harris. I think we got a real steal when he signed. Good shooter, and plays smart.

kid, my condolences for your loss
Williams is really turning out fine
I didn't see any hesitation in his play last night which bodes very well for us moving into the ACC schedule. Tuck is confident, Gregory and Bowie are great role players. I'm especially impressed with Mosley. He's a jack of all trades player - very like Mouton was. A calming presence on the court who provides unexpected nasty moves when needed.
Hayes has come into his own as a scoring threat. I don't like the 3 shot too much but it's nice to have that option in the arsenal when needed. Vasquez is a complete badass - I'm sorry - I am WAY in the tank for GV. He can't do much wrong in my eyes. He's setting records all over the place - if you're interested I'll pull some of the stats off the MD board. A poster over there is keeping track as he moves up the statistical rankings.
GV is without a doubt one of the the best player's in the country. He's carrying the weight of an entire country on his shoulders. I so hope he keeps up with his stats and that his play (and that of his team) shines brightly this year. This kid deserves all the good things life can bring him.

Random basketball stats for the General for those of you who might be interested
From JemoTerp on the MD Board (after the game last nite):
Greivis is now at 1771 career points. He's 9th all time, 5 shy of Keith Booth.
Assuming 34 total games this season (4 postseason games), he'd need to average:
24.90 to catch #1 Juan at 2269
18.90 to catch #2 Bias at 2149
14.35 to catch #3 King at 2058
12.30 to catch #4 Branch at 2017
12.20 to catch #5 Lucas at 2015
11.45 to become the Terps' 6th 2000-point scorer
He's now averaging 17.6 per game. That pace would put his final point total at 2123.

9. David Kool, Western Michigan 1685
10. Tyler Smith, Tennessee 1680 (is he still considered "active"?)
Hayes is 7 points shy of 1000!!
Adrian Bowie is running under the radar with some serious stealing going on. From poster Awards on the MD Board:
Bowie hasn't done much this year to write home about, but has been great in picking up steals. He records a steal every 12.3 minutes, which is a faster pace than steals leaders Chris Singleton (13.7/steal), L.D. Williams (14.0/steal), Jeff Allen (13.6/steal), and close to Andre Young's awesome pace of 11.8/steal.
And for those Jordan Williams fans: (courtesy of curt on the MD board):
He is having one of the best rebounding seasons by a Freshman in school history...as you can see no one new has entered this list in 16 years.
1. 323 Buck Williams (1979)
2. 322 Joe Smith (1994)
3. 241 Derrick Lewis (1985)
4. 202 Jerrod Mustaf (1989)
5. 187 Albert King (1978)
6. 183 Keith Booth (1994)
7. 173 Brian Williams (1988)
8. 157 Larry Gibson (1976)
Good stuff

whoops!

OK. Terps now share the top of the ACC 3-1. Their one loss was an OT 1-point on the road to a good Wake team and their three wins were by an average of 16. They didn't garner a single vote in either of the ranking polls last week. Is Harvard really a better team?

Interesting stat... In all 5 Terp losses so far they outscored their opponents in the 2nd half.
