Best wishes for an uneventful pregnancy and a healthy, beautiful baby.
As previously discussed, I will certainly gain weight with you as I imbibe the Guinness you cannot. I hope PPGuy's non-alcoholic stout option works for you!
Where are those emoticons? I wanted the beer one as well as the rainbow YAY! one. *hrrumph*
We've been dispersing our congrats around various threads, but I am happy to add mine to the official one. Yay for the PPGs family!
Word to you, mother. Is this going to be your first youngin'? We just had our 2nd in January. Loads of fun.[/u]
It never hurts to say it twice - congratulations, PomPom!
Thanks, guys.
Yep, it's the first (and first grandkid, so this will be a very spoiled youngun). I already have a Duke pacifier, much to PPGuy's chagrin.

Yea for the Pom Pom's! Congrats!!! Aren't ultrasounds the coolest thing ever? You all would die laughing at the one I had taken back in 1984. Looks like it was taken with a "Swinger" camera!

has Coach Collins noticed it missing?
dittoing all the well wishes
Congrats on the upcoming PomPomKid!! At least dressing him/her in blue works for both of you...

Pom, Pom, my daughter had a Duke Pennant over her crib and lots of Duke onesies, etc.. She's been die hard since birth and still going strong at 22.
Raise that child right... I know you will!

congrats ppg. you want a girl, boy, or no preference? I know health comes first, but aside from that, what do you want?
Kid:
The blue works, and I have no problem with the letters UK - so long as there's a D in front and an E at the end! PPGuy doesn't seem quite as cool with that, though. I just remind him that he can think what he wants, but I'll be the one around this baby all day, at least that first year or so.
Traj, I think we're both more frightened of the teenage years for girls than the toddler/young kid years for boys, so I guess that would make it a boy lean, but healthy is far and away #1.
Rav, I found the pint smilie:

(code : drink : w/o spaces).
Wow! Congrats PPGs!! Great news to find.
Doesn't matter if it's a boy or girl...teen years are the pits. Even tho the 2 AM feedings never seem to end, at least you know where the kid is at midnight.

still very happy for you. i look forward to the little one's pic continuing to change over the next 9 months.
Super congrats to you two. I hope it all goes very smoothly for you. PPGuy is now at the mercy of the hormones that are about to party their collective arses off. Those birthing classes are way cool too
Learn to love changing poop
PPG, I saw on another thread that you were having some nausea--frankly, when I was expecting soooo many years ago (my son is now 21), I was so sick for the first three months, I thought the toilet seat was an accessory to be worn around the neck! Then the second trimester began and suddenly the nausea ended! Now I only get sick when I think about the Tarholes........!
Thanks, guys!
Nausea has definitely eased up - must have been that magic week 14. Finally bought a few maternity items - it's nice to have another couple of items of clothing that fit!
*sniff*
my gals are havin' bebbies.
Congratulations to you and PomPom Guy! This child is one lucky kid. One dilemma is already taken care of: Team/School colors. Duke and UK are close in their hue of blue.
As for nausea I started puking at 6 weeks. It lasted for several weeks but suddenly stopped about 3 weeks later. I did not have morning sickness. My nausea was in the early evening.
Have you had any cravings? I was bat poo crazy for liver and onions(topped with bacon) and any pasta with an Italian(south) tomato sauce(I also drank low sodium tomato juice all the time). I remember begging my husband to take me to Raffaele's for the 5th night in a row for L&O with a side of pasta/tomato sauce. I have not touched liver and onions since giving birth. Go figure.
wait till you start "nesting."
Here's to Baby, Mom and Dad! Enjoy this gift...it is precious.
Congrats. Nothing will ever be the same.
I pray for health for baby and mom.
