BTW, did any of you listen to Coach K's post-game comments. Pretty basic (and some stupid questions were asked of the players, IMO), but he was downright nasty to a Dook Chronicle reporter who had the audacity to ask about not calling a time-out at the end of the game. I don't know if there some history there, but it seemd like an innocuous question that triggered a very unpleasant response from Coach K.
Coach K has not been in a very good mood lately.
He used to be a pretty good in these post game interviews, but since the back injury, he acts like George Raveling on lithium ... a babbling idiot ...
dook is a womens basketball school and he hates that Gail is the darling of the campus. what a tool.
Word on the street is that Coach K is going to hire Paula Abdul to do his post game interviews.
Coach K is the real victim here for having to answer these questions after a loss.
Seriously, nycfan, what was K's response?
Been a few days, but he called the kid out, something to the effect of "you can go ahead and criticize me for blah blah blah that's your right but here's why you have no idea what you're talking about" -- extremely condescending and nasty-tempered, the question seemed on the up and up (the same guy asked numerous questions of the VCU and Dook players) but Coach K treated the Chronicle reporter like dirt. I had an inkling this guy had written some critical article(s) that K didn't like and K, already in a bad mood, was all too eager to lash out at him.
I actually agree here. K might have just been trying to deflect responsibilty from Henderson but it was the wrong way to do it.
K wasn't trying to deflect anything from Henderson. K was just sticking his foot in his mouth like he always does. The funny thing is that the more he tries to take his foot out of his mouth, the deeper it gets. His mouth is like quicksand.
