Backcourt and Wings: Major amounts of enthusiasm located in Lawson, Ellington and Frasor’s arcs. Not so much for Drew. Physically the backcourt crew has nada, practically zilch. Virtually no pulse. In the brain department they’re a bunch of Sir Isaacs. Smart and emotional but physically ZEROS. Pretty interesting arcs. Coach is smart. Platoon more than usual and we’ll hardly notice. Keep Lawson’s time on the court under 25 minutes. This would also be a good evening it would appear to up The Razor’s minutes a tad…his stature just might be needed on defense and as a steadying influence for Drew as he subs for Lawson. Hard to see highlights from any of this bunch but expect good play overall.
Frontcourt. More of that Newtonian presence from Green and Hansbrough (hope these guys have mid-terms this week…all this positive cerebral energy oughta be used for good) but not a particularly strong paint one. This will be a night for going around rather than through. Deon looks to take a backseat and so too does EdLuvaDavis. Zeller is fragile.
Overall: Next up…Malcolm Delaney. 37 versus Clemson, averaging over 20 in ACC play. 95 Mastery arc. Major trouble here amigos. Senior center from Mali Cheick Diakite is also primed to leave the Hokie fans with something to remember him by. Beware of Monroe, North Carolina’s J.T. Thompson too…Native born Tar Heels that go out of state to play just LOOOOVE to haunt us. Strong Jeff Allen will bruise around the hoop. This does not look good folks. Our three starters are the only bigs (that will play any time) with gas this evening and the Hokies will be pounding underneath. Wish I had some birthdays on the officials because if they “let ‘em play” as in punish The Ogre, it will be a long night for the Tar Heels. If they call the game like Naismith intended it to be played advantage Carolina. Vasallo will not leave Blacksburg without something memorable as well. I just don’t know.
First impression is Hokies by 7. If Roy lives up to his Wisdom mark, I’ll take the Heels by 2. Watch Coach…you’ll know before the first half is over whether he’s got the guts to go with the brains.

Long distance runner what you standing there for?
Get up, get off, get out of the door
You're playing cold music on the bar room floor,
drowned in your laughter and dead to the core
There's a dragon with matches loose on the town
Take a whole pail of water just to cool him down
Fire - Fire On the Mountain
Fire - Fire on the mountain
Almost aflame still you don't feel the heat
Takes all you got just to stay on the beat
You say it's a living, we all gotta eat
but you're here alone there's no one to compete
If mercy's in business I wish it for you
More than just ashes when your dreams come true
Fire - Fire on the mountain
Fire - Fire on the mountain
Long distance runner what you holdin out for?
Caught in slow motion in your dash to the door
The flame from your stage has now spread to the floor
You gave all you got, why you wanta give more?
The more that you give, why, the more it will take
to the thin line beyond which you really cannot fake
There's a fire
Fire on the mountain
