SEVERAL POSTERS ON THE SCOUT WAKE BOARD, (AND POSTERS FOR OTHER SCHOOLS ON THIS SITE, EVEN), BELIEVE DUKE WON LAST NIGHT BECAUSE OF THE OFFICIATING.
THIS MIGHT SOUND STRANGE, BUT THIS IS THE REASON THEY GIVE FOR THE 10 POINT DIFFERENCE IN THE FINAL SCORE.
Even the NY Times commented on an egregious missed traveling call: Elliot Williams does the moon walk
LOL.... Come on, Peach, so William's walk was worth 11 points and cost Wake the game?
I would hate to see an article in the NY Times about five visiting players fouling out of the game.
I think Duke won because they scored more points.... novel idea, I know, but call me a rebel.

No, it was one example of the piss-poor officiating that John Clougherty & John Swofford have allowed in this conference. I won't say that Wake played a perfect game because they did not and there were some calls that went Wake's way which again were piss-poor on the part of the dolts in stripes. And call me a naive cynic, but I seriously doubt that Gerald Henderson gets fouled every time he drives to the basket, and I seriously doubt that Duke did no fouling with three Wake players driving to the basket on a pretty consistent basis.
BTW one move that must be reined in is the Oscar-winning flop. As several ACC players have found upon stepping onto an NBA court, having this move down to perfection does them no good in the pros...so why reward the theater majors at the collegiate level?

So I'm guessing you agree with rickheel that UNC got hosed at Maryland, would that be correct? I am so damn sick of everyone who sits in their comfy little lounge chair thinking they can call a game better than the guys that are 5 feet away from the action and are PROFESSIONALS at it. IMO you just look like a damn poor sport and a whiney arse toddler that didn't get their way. Do refs make mistakes? Hell yea they do. Do fans make a helluva lot more mistakes and see the game with seriously tinted glasses. You're damn skippy they do.

I was at a baseball game while UNC/MD was on, so I only got to see the last 2 minutes of OT. I have no idea what went on in the prior 43 minutes of play so I cannot speak on that game. All I'm saying is that if any of us made the number of mistakes that ACC officials do in a typical game, we'd all be fired and trying to collect unemployment. Where do I sign up for that gig? :lol

DeaconPeach, go away crybaby. Wake is in their usual form , the entire ACC is taking turns whipping their ass now. Maybe its a ref conspiracy that they just want EVERY team to beat you now? Lose with class, everyone did here when we lost to YOU. Stop crying ref ref ref everytime you lose, it makes you look so damn stupid. Would you like a compilation of videos of no calls on Wake this season? Idiot.
